Boon to Laxmiji

Bhaktimata was teaching Ghanshyam how to walk. One day in the morning Bhaktimata brought Ghanshyam to the verandah holding His finger. After walking for a while, Ghanshyam Maharaj sat down in the verandah. During this time, Laxmiji together with Her friends were passing by in the sky. Laxmiji told Her friends “You take the form of a sparrow and sit at the door. When Ghanshyam comes to catch you, fly away to another place and make Ghanshyam run from place to place but do not get caught”.

Laxmiji remained in the sky watching this 'Lila' as a spectator. Soon, the sparrow came and sat at the door. Immediately, Ghanshyam straightened his hand and caught the sparrow. The sparrow flapped her wings and chipped but could not escape. Bhaktimata thought if the sparrow pecked at Lord Ghanshyam' s hand, it would hurt Him. So she slowly released the sparrow from Ghanshyam' s hand. As soon as the sparrow got released, it resumed its form of a beautiful lady and stood by.

She bowed and said, “I am Laxmiji'’s friend. She was the one who told me to come here. My beak must have bitten on your palm. Therefore please forgive me.”

On hearing this, Ghanshyam Maharaj gave her His blessings. Immediately Laxmiji appeared. She bowed and said, “Give me a chance of serving you.”  Ghanshyam promised, “When I go to Khatiyawad, you come there and your wishes will be fulfilled.”

Getting the blessings, both Laxmiji and her friends disappeared laughing.
