Dudh Pak Puri

Once, Ghanshyam became hungry and asked Bhaktimata for food. Bhaktimata gave cold khichdi and said, “eat the khichdi slowly and 1 will bring milk right now.” Saying this she went to the cowshed.

In the cowshed, there was a cow called Gomti. This cow gave milk twice a day: in the morning and in the evening. Bhaktimata started milking the cow but the milk did not come out. Soon Ghanshyam Maharaj came with a bowl to the cowshed. Bhaktimata said, “The milk is not yet ready so sit aside patiently.”

Gomti used to like Ghanshyam very much. She used to give milk to Ghanshyam any time. As soon as Ghanshyam started taking the milk out from Gomti, milk poured out. Soon, the bowl was full. On seeing this Bhaktimata was surprised. She ran inside and brought a bucket. The bucket was full as soon as she had put it under Gomti, but the milk did not stop. Bhaktimata ran inside and brought a bigger bucket. This bucket was also filled in no time. Bhaktimata thought that if the milk did not stop all the utensils would be full of milk.

On seeing Bhaktimata being frightened Ghanshyam said, “Don't worry. You won't have to go inside to bring any utensils. The milk started to come out as per my wish and now it will stop.”

Bhaktimata would not believe this therefore she went to bring other utensils. On returning, she saw the milk had stopped and she was astonished and became very happy due to a lot of milk. She said she would prepare dudhpak puri. Soon the food was ready and she fed Ghanshyam Maharaj with intense love.
