Agile Monkeys

Ghanshyam had taken ‘Puri’ and ‘Dahi’ to the verandah to eat, but the food was snatched by an agile monkey. As soon as the monkey left, Ghanshyam stretched His hand and got hold of the monkey's neck and threw him down on the floor. On feeling the pain, the monkey started chipping thus attracting a group of other monkeys.

Soon, Ghanshyam was surrounded by the monkeys who wanted to beat Him up. When Dharmadev saw this he was afraid that the monkeys will kill Ghanshyam, so he went in the house to get a stick.

As soon as Dharmadev left, Ghanshyam multiplied himself to equal the number of monkeys surrounding Him. On seeing that a Bal Ghanshyam was following a monkey, they got frightened and stared to run, but Ghanshyam got hold of all the monkeys either by the ear, by the legs or even by the tail.

Frightened by the miracle, the monkeys started making noise and jumped about and finally ran away. By the time Dharmadev had found a stick and came out, he was overjoyed on seeing that the monkeys had run away and Ghanshyam was standing there smiling. “This child is truly the incarnation of God,” thought Dharmadev.
