Mahavat Saved
There lived a rich man by the name of Baldev. He used to tame powerful elephants. Mahavat (elephant tamer) used to steal sweets from the elephant's food. The elephant used to see all this.
One day he was bathing the elephant at the lake. The elephant took him by the trunk and started swinging him in and out of the water. Everybody was standing by the shore and looking. At that moment Dharmadev was passing by with Ghanshyam. On seeing the state of Mahavat, Ghanshyam felt pity and within seconds, Ghanshyam was in the water in another form. He freed Mahavat and calmed down the elephant and rode him out of the lake. Everybody at the shore was astonished on seeing the two forms of Ghanshyam at a time.
As the elephant reached the shore, the second form vanished away. Ghanshyam rode on the elephant till His home. Mahavat said, “If the elephant's anger had not calmed down my death was inevitable.” And he vowed never to steal again. Ghanshyam blessed him and bade him farewell.
