Ramdutt and the Mango
One morning Ghanshyam and His friends decided to have a bath nearby. After a long bath, hunger began to bite them. Ghanshyam suggested that they go to a mango farm nearby and have some mangoes. Ghanshyam climbed up and started plucking mangoes and throwing them down to his friends, who in turn gathered them and put them in one pl ace.
A group of Brahmins headed by Ramdutt passed by. Ramdutt instructed the other Brahmins to start collecting the mangoes. One of Ghanshyam's friend spoke out, “These mangoes are ours. If you need some you better pluck your own.”
Ramdutt became angry and stared snarling at the boys. Ghanshyam was watching all this from above. As Ramdutt bent to collect the mangoes, Ghanshyam leaped to the lowest branch and got hold of the stringed pot that belonged to the Ramdutt and went up the tree.
This angered Ramdutt and he climbed up the tree to throw Ghanshyam down. Ghanshyam made him play by jumping from one branch to another. Ramdutt instructed his fellow Brahmins to climb up, and each got hold of a branch. Ghanshyam climbed to the uppermost branch of the tree. Ramdutt followed Him but as he reached there, Ghanshyam was nowhere to be seen.
When they looked fown, they saw Ghanshyam at the foot of the tree with His friends. Ghanshyam instructed his friends to throw stones at the Brahmins so that none could come down.
The Brahmins got tired and understood that this is no ordinary child but the Lord Himself. They asked for forgiveness from Ghanshyam. Ghanshyam returned the stringed pot to Randutt. The Brahimin's paid homage to Ghanshyam and continued with their journey.
